Introduction
The Pit Supervisor is responsible for monitoring the loading and hauling of operation processes to ensure achievement of tonnages, quality of product and within the budget limits while maximizing utilization of equipment and plans. Leads and organizes the mining workforce to execute work in accordance with MHSA standards.

Minimum requirements
- National Senior Certificate
- Candidates must have a valid driver’s license
- Open Cast Blasting / Rock Breaking Certificate.
- Competency A, Legal Liability Certificates
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an open cast mining environment
- Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience
- Previous experience with loading and hauling in open cast mining environment with manganese or similar commodity
- Must have proven experience with open cast heavy mining equipment fleets and open cast operations
