The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accurate and compliant execution of end-to-end payroll processes within a complex operational environment. The role requires a detail-oriented and analytical payroll professional who can interpret payroll policies, employment conditions, statutory requirements, and company-specific remuneration practices to ensure accurate payroll outcomes.
Job description

  • Complete Payroll Processing
    • Capturing
    • Validation
    • Reconciliation
    • Queries
  • Payroll Analysis, Interpretation and Validation
    • Utilize the Sage 300 People system effectively
    • Ensure payroll transactions are correctly interpreted, validated and processed.
    • Payroll exceptions investigated and resolved before payroll finalization.
  • Compliance
    • UIF Management
    • IRP5 - Supporting function, export relevant reports from payroll
    • EMP201 – Monthly validation
    • IOD – Administration and case management
  • Benefit Administration
    • Capturing, Reconciliation and Pay Files to Finance
    • Processing data through SAGE 300 and various service providers
    • Ensure third-party reconciliations completed accurately.
  • Payroll Queries            
    • Payroll queries responded to within agreed turnaround times.
    • Complex payroll matters investigated and resolved effectively.
    • Escalations managed appropriately.

Minimum requirements

  • National Senior Certificate
  • Valid Drivers’ License
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification (Diploma or degree)
  • 2 – 4 years relevant working experience
  • Proven experience on Sage 300 People | HR, Payroll & ESS Software

Knowledge / Competencies /Abilities:

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially on Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality
