The Chargehand is responsible for leading and coordinating maintenance teams to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective repair and maintenance of Heavy Earth Moving Equipment (HEMM). The role involves planning and supervising maintenance activities, diagnosing equipment faults, ensuring work is executed to OEM standards, and maintaining high levels of equipment availability while promoting a strong safety culture.

Minimum requirements
- National Senior Certificate
- Valid Drivers License
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic / Earth Moving Equipment Artisan
- Engineering N2 in related field of trade
- Supervisory qualification will be advantageous
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory designation
- At least 5 years post trade experience
- Proven experience on heavy earth moving equipment in an open cast mining environment
